If I have more than 10 minutes to get my face on in a day then that usually means Oscar's gone for a sleep, he's with the grandparents or the hubbies taken him out for some daddy/son activity.  For the most part I'm putting my face on in between having toy cars run over my toes or him drawing on the wall with my eye liner pencil. For anyone who knows me I have quite a bit of makeup hauled up in my house but I have very little time these days to play with it all.  So here's a peek into my every day makeup bag, my 10 minute face routine, my 'this makes me look half a live' miracle bag ...

Step one starts with a little moisturiser, I am not precious when it comes to moisturisers and if I am totally honest sometimes I forget to apply it.  At the minute I am using the Garnier Moisture Match, It's not great but it does the trick.

All over coverage please, Rimmel Wake me up Foundation is a staple in my makeup bagI've used this for a few years now, its the perfect day to day foundation and is very reasonably priced at around £8-9 per bottle. My only qualm with this is the glass bottle, theres quite a lot of wastage with this and it infuriates me.

MUA Brow Kit, this little pocket pack is awesome, although I am testing out a brow pencil at the moment that might just overtake this in terms of application time, watch this space! Next up is the Makeup Revolution blush palette, I love this one, it has a great range of peachy/coral colours perfect for spring/summer and autumn and the colour pay off is fabulous.  Sticking with the Makeup Revolution theme is this Urban Decay 3 dupe, the Iconic 3 palette.  It's a gorgeous neutral/warm palette, I use one or two colours day to day and again the pigmentation in these shadows are great.

When it come to mascara I have two favourites, the one I am currently using, L'Oreal Telescopic Mascara and Maybelline, The Falsies.  Tools of the trade, my favourite affordable Real Techniques Buffing Brush, love, love, love this brush, I use it every day, it really works the foundation into your face for a flawless look.  I will always testify that applying makeup with a brush is a must!

MAC Photogravure eye liner - this is a fairly new addition but it's a fave!  Its a dark grey eyeliner, almost black but not quite, perfect for day to day wear.  Lips, this NARS Lip Gloss in Sweet Revenge is one I have had for a while, it's slightly pigmented but still natural.

I like to finish off my face with a little MAC Prep+ this most definitely helps keep your makeup on. Before buying this myself I always thought it was a bit of a cult product that just became famous because it was MAC, but I have to say this is one of my favourite products.

My daily routine takes around 10 minutes, however if I am heading out for the evening or for a special occasion I like to give my face a good half an hour.... the eyeliner alone takes 20 minutes!

What's your favourite day to day makeup staple?
